Three paths through
the reading room
Each path at Latentry is designed for a specific level of commitment and depth. Browse all three here — including what each covers, how it is structured, and what you pay for it.
Back to HomeThe reading-room methodology
All three Latentry paths share the same underlying approach: structured written materials, a fixed reading sequence, reflection prompts to consolidate each module, and a moderated space to discuss what you have read. The paths differ in depth, duration, and the degree of mentored engagement.
Materials are written to be read once, carefully — not skimmed or searched for answers to assessments. Each module has a natural length, neither padded to feel substantial nor cut short to feel agile. The format suits people who read for understanding, not for credential completion.
Fixed sequence
Every path follows a set reading order. Foundations before applications, always.
Discussion threads
A moderated space for questions, clarifications, and notes shared with others on the same path.
Reflection prompts
Short written tasks after each module to consolidate the reading before moving on.
Mentor feedback
In the Cohort and Library Programme, submitted exercises receive written responses from a reader.
Reading Room Pass
A standalone pass to the school's reading room of introductory AI modules. The pass gives access to written readings on the foundations of artificial intelligence, machine learning concepts, and the landscape of current AI tools — all presented in clear, non-technical language where possible and with explanations of technical terms where necessary.
Each module comes with a short reflection prompt — a few questions to work through in writing before moving on. A moderated discussion thread is included for questions and observations. There are no scheduled sessions and no fixed timeline: the pass is self-paced.
What is included
- Full access to the introductory AI module library
- Reflection prompts included with each module
- Moderated discussion thread access
- Fully self-paced — no schedule, no deadlines
- Access retained after enrolment period
How it works
- 01 Enrol and receive access to the reading room platform
- 02 Work through modules in sequence at your own pace
- 03 Complete reflection prompts as you go
- 04 Post questions or notes in the discussion thread
BEST FOR
Working adults who want to understand what AI is and how it is built, before deciding whether to pursue a more structured path. Suitable for those with no prior technical background.
DURATION
Self-paced — typically completed in 4 to 10 weeks depending on reading time per week.
BEST FOR
People who want to learn Python and applied AI in a structured way, with the discipline of a cohort schedule and the feedback of a named reader. Some comfort with computers is helpful but no prior programming experience is assumed.
DURATION
12 weeks. Weekly live sessions are held on a fixed schedule agreed with the cohort at intake.
Guided Reading Cohort
A twelve-week cohort working through a curated reading path on Python and applied AI exercises. Participants follow a week-by-week curriculum of written readings, practical exercises using Python, and weekly live sessions where the reader walks through the current week's material and answers questions from the group.
All submitted exercises receive written feedback from the cohort reader within five working days. The cohort is capped at eighteen participants to keep discussion threads useful and feedback turnaround manageable.
What is included
- 12-week structured reading and exercise curriculum
- Weekly live sessions (online, schedule set at intake)
- Python and applied AI exercise sets
- Written feedback on each submitted exercise
- Course reader (printed or digital on request)
- Moderated discussion thread for the full cohort
Weekly structure
- 01 Read the week's module and complete the reflection prompt
- 02 Work through the Python exercise for the week
- 03 Attend the weekly live session and raise questions
- 04 Submit exercise and receive written feedback within 5 working days
Library Programme
A nine-month programme combining structured reading across multiple paths, project milestones, and mentor reviews. Participants work through the school's full reading curriculum in a deliberate sequence, completing a portfolio of applied work at each milestone stage. The programme is educational in scope and does not constitute a formal qualification.
Each milestone is reviewed by a named mentor who provides written feedback on the work submitted. Participants leave the nine months with a documented portfolio that reflects sustained engagement with AI development concepts and applied exercises across the curriculum.
What is included
- Full access to all Latentry reading paths
- Structured 9-month curriculum with milestone stages
- Written mentor feedback at each milestone
- Portfolio development across reading paths
- Completion record at programme end
- Staged payment option available on request
Programme milestones
- M·01 Foundations completed — written review submitted and mentor-reviewed
- M·02 Applied Python path completed — project work submitted for review
- M·03 Advanced AI path completed — portfolio expanded and reviewed
- M·04 Final portfolio assembled — completion record issued
BEST FOR
Learners who want to invest seriously in understanding AI development over a sustained period and build a portfolio of work. Some experience reading technical material is helpful. Not suited to those looking for a rapid overview.
IMPORTANT NOTE
The Library Programme is educational in scope. It does not constitute a formal qualification or accredited credential of any kind.
