Who we are and what these terms cover
These terms apply to Latentry, a small online school based at 11 Persiaran Kewajipan, 47500 Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. We offer self-paced reading passes, guided cohorts, and longer reading programmes in AI and related subjects.
By using this website or submitting an enquiry, you confirm that you have read and accept these terms. If you enrol in a programme, these terms form part of the agreement between you and Latentry.
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia.
Our reading programmes
Latentry currently offers three reading paths:
Reading Room Pass
RM 510A self-paced pass to the school's introductory AI reading modules. Includes written readings, short reflection prompts, and access to a moderated discussion thread. No scheduled sessions.
Guided Reading Cohort
RM 1,760A twelve-week cohort covering Python and applied AI. Includes weekly live sessions, a course reader, and written feedback on submitted exercises. Cohort sizes are kept small to allow for meaningful engagement.
Library Programme
RM 4,680A nine-month structured programme combining reading paths, project milestones, and mentor reviews. Participants build a steady portfolio across the school's reading paths. This programme is educational in scope and does not constitute a formal qualification.
Programme details, schedules, and content may be updated from time to time. We will communicate any material changes to enrolled participants in advance.
Enrolment and payment
Enrolment is confirmed once we receive payment in full and send a written confirmation to your registered email address. Places on cohort-based programmes are limited. Submitting a form does not in itself constitute enrolment.
All fees are stated in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of any applicable taxes unless otherwise noted. Payments are processed securely through our payment partner.
If payment fails or is not completed within the specified period, your place may be released to another applicant.
Cancellations and refunds
We understand that circumstances change. Our refund policy is as follows:
Reading Room Pass
A full refund is available within 7 days of purchase, provided you have not accessed the reading materials. After this period, no refund is available.
Guided Reading Cohort
Cancellations made at least 14 days before the cohort start date are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations within 14 days of the start date are not refundable. If we cancel the cohort for any reason, a full refund will be issued.
Library Programme
Cancellations before the programme start date are eligible for a refund less an administrative fee of RM 200. Cancellations after the start date are not refundable. If a participant withdraws partway through, no partial refund applies.
To request a cancellation or discuss your situation, please write to [email protected].
Educational scope and qualifications
Latentry's programmes are educational in nature. They are designed to support learners in developing working knowledge of AI concepts and related practical skills through reading, reflection, and guided exercises.
Completion of any Latentry programme does not confer a formal academic qualification, diploma, or professional certification. Any documentation issued by Latentry, such as a completion record, is an internal school document and not a nationally recognised credential.
We encourage learners to make their own assessment of how a programme fits their broader educational or professional goals before enrolling.
Participant conduct
The reading room is intended to be a quiet, respectful space for learning. Participants are expected to engage thoughtfully in any discussion threads or live sessions, and to treat other participants and facilitators with consideration.
Latentry reserves the right to suspend or remove any participant whose conduct is disruptive, offensive, or contrary to the school's values. In such cases, no refund will be issued.
Course materials provided to participants are for personal study only and must not be shared, redistributed, or reproduced without permission.
Content and intellectual property
All course materials, reading texts, exercises, and website content produced by Latentry remain the property of Latentry. Access to these materials does not transfer ownership or grant rights to reproduce or distribute them.
If you create work as part of a programme — such as written exercises or project files — you retain ownership of that work. We may, with your permission, reference your participation for illustrative purposes, such as in case studies, without identifying you personally.
Limitation of liability
Latentry provides its programmes and website content in good faith and with reasonable care. However, we do not accept responsibility for decisions you make based on materials read or skills developed through the school.
To the extent permitted by Malaysian law, our total liability in connection with any programme or these terms is limited to the fee you paid for that programme.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last revised. For enrolled participants, we will provide reasonable notice before any change takes effect.
Continued use of the website after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Questions about these terms
If you have questions about anything in this document, please write to us before enrolling. We are a small school and are happy to clarify anything that is not clear.
